The Segment Finance Business Partner is a key member of Corporate FP&A, responsible for consolidating, forecasting, closing, and reporting financial results for a global revenue segment. This role serves as the primary finance partner to segment leadership, providing clear visibility into revenue performance, margin drivers, and outlook versus plan. The position translates complex global data into actionable executive insights, and supports leadership decision-making through disciplined forecasting, variance analysis, and performance storytelling. The role works closely with regional finance teams, commercial leaders, and Corporate FP&A, and supports executive and Board-level reporting in partnership with the Senior Manager – Business Finance.
ResponsibilitiesSegment Close, Consolidation & Reporting
- Own monthly close activities for the assigned global revenue segment, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete results.
- Consolidate regional and business unit submissions into a single, coherent segment view, aligned with corporate standards and methodologies.
- Validate revenue, margin, and key driver assumptions prior to submission into corporate consolidation.
- Serve as the primary liaison between segment finance teams and Corporate FP&A during close cycles.
Forecasting & Planning
- Lead quarterly forecasts and annual planning for the global revenue segment, including revenue, gross margin, and key operational drivers.
- Ensure alignment between segment outlooks and corporate assumptions.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends impacting segment performance.
- Support long-range planning and scenario modeling tied to growth initiatives, pricing actions, and market dynamics.
Executive & Leadership Reporting
- Prepare executive-level reporting packages for Monthly Operating Reviews, segment reviews, and leadership updates.
- Translate financial results into clear performance narratives, highlighting drivers, variances, and forward-looking implications.
- Support preparation of materials for senior leadership and executive audiences, including consolidated P&L views and segment deep dives.
Business Partnership & Insight Generation
- Act as a trusted finance partner to global revenue and commercial leadership, providing insight on performance, trends, and trade-offs.
- Deliver detailed variance analysis across revenue, margin, volume, mix, and pricing.
- Support strategic initiatives with financial analysis, business cases, and scenario modeling.
- Ensure segment financial performance aligns with enterprise objectives and value creation priorities.
Process Improvement & Standardization
- Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, consolidation efficiency, and reporting automation.
- Promote standardization across segment reporting and forecasting processes.
- Partner with Corporate FP&A on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transparency, speed, and insight quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or certification (i.e. CPA) preferred.
- 5+ years of Finance experience, ideally in FP&A or functional/operational finance.
- Strong capabilities in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and decision support.
- High analytical rigor with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience supporting cost centers, workforce planning, and functional budgeting.
- Ability to influence leaders with clear, concise financial storytelling and insight translation.
- Proficiency with enterprise FP&A systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, EPM, Power BI).
- Ability to work well both independently and on a team.
- Experience managing multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data and communicate through presentation formats.
- Demonstrated very strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Enthusiasm and flexibility to embrace change and think critically about how to accomplish the role’s responsibilities.
The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, geographic location, and relevant experience. Certain roles may include additional components beyond base salary, such as incentive opportunities or other forms of variable compensation. Details of any such components will be discussed during the interview process and will be governed by the applicable plan documents.
