Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong data and financial services experience (investment management preferred) to support data-intensive initiatives. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to define requirements, analyze data, and collaborate with technology teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and perform deep-dive data analysis.
- Gather, document, and refine business and functional requirements (BRDs, FRDs).
- Partner with business users requesting data sets (accounts, products, security positions).
- Define use cases, workflows, and operating models.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement data solutions.
- Provide UAT support and validate deliverables.
- Deliver clear updates on progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 10+ years’ experience, with 5–7+ years as a BA in investment banking, asset management, or market data.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing data.
- Expertise in data warehousing and large-scale data environments.
- Financial services knowledge: investment management, portfolio management, equities, fixed income.
- Proven ability to create BRDs/FRDs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
