About the Role:

LMArena is looking for an experienced (Senior+ level) Brand Designer to help define how our brand is perceived by our users, community, customers, and the AI industry at large. You’ll be responsible for driving our creative processes, developing brand guidelines, and elevating our visual identity as we scale.

This is a foundational role where you’ll lead the development of a brand system that feels credible, community-driven, and innovative, capturing both the scientific rigor and human energy behind LMArena. You’ll ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints and push our design standards higher with every campaign, product launch, and public moment.

You’ll work closely with product, marketing, and leadership to shape our brand strategy and craft compelling visuals for everything from launch campaigns and educational content to social media, events, and investor communications. This is a rare opportunity to build a brand that sits at the intersection of AI, research, and community.

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of brand design experience in-house, at an agency or freelance

  • Strong Illustration & Visual Identity skillset

    • Strong proficiency in Figma & Adobe Creative Suite

    • Comfortable translating complex ideas into simple, digestible visuals

  • Strong point of view and sense of taste. You are attuned to the latest trends but maintain your own unique perspective and style

  • Strong storytelling skills and experience helping carry a brand’s narrative, tone of voice across all of its touchpoints

  • Experience working with or helping create or manage a design system in collaboration with product and engineering teams

  • Experience working at or with technology startups

Bonus (not required):

  • Experience building and evolving a brand at an early-stage company or startup

  • Video & Motion Design skills

  • Data Visualization experience

  • Web Design experience

Responsibilities:

  • Deeply get to know and understand our community, why they love our product and how they use it. 

  • Craft beautiful, thoughtful illustrations, visualizations and assets for our product, blog, print materials (rare), company swag and more.

  • Help develop the brand identity and establish our own creative processes at LMArena

  • Work closely with any freelancers, agencies or vendors to guide and ensure brand quality and consistency

  • Help mold our design culture and grow our team!
