Role Summary

Cooperdyne Tech is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to design, build, and optimize Azure DevOps environments for our clients. In this client-facing role, you will shape organizational structure and process templates, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deliver integrations, and enable portfolio-level visibility through Portfolio++ deployments. You will translate technical and delivery requirements into practical Azure DevOps solutions that align with how teams actually plan, build, and ship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and configure Azure DevOps organizations, projects, area paths, iteration paths, and team structures

  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using YAML and the classic editor

  • Deploy and configure Portfolio++ to improve portfolio planning, roadmaps, and cross-team visibility

  • Define and enforce process templates, work item types, fields, and workflow states across teams and programs

  • Integrate Azure DevOps with third-party tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, GitHub) and support end-to-end delivery workflows

  • Support sprint planning, capacity planning, and iteration setup for client delivery teams

  • Troubleshoot configuration and pipeline issues; provide hands-on guidance to client engineers and delivery leads

  • Create and maintain standards, runbooks, and adoption guidance to support long-term sustainability

Required Qualifications
  • US Citizenship or Green Card holder (required)

  • 5–7+ years of Azure DevOps experience in a US-based environment (required)

  • Deep knowledge of Azure DevOps: Boards, Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, and Test Plans

  • Strong experience with Agile process templates, backlog management, and portfolio-level planning practices

  • Proficiency with YAML pipelines, branch strategies, and release management

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services and infrastructure-as-code using ARM and/or Bicep

  • Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python for automation and platform enablement

  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with client stakeholders and engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Portfolio++ or similar Azure DevOps extensions

  • Background supporting enterprise PMO, program management, or large-scale delivery governance

  • Exposure to SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks

  • Microsoft certifications in Azure and/or DevOps (strong plus)

What Success Looks Like
  • Azure DevOps organizations and projects are structured in a way that supports clear ownership, reporting, and scalable delivery

  • Teams have reliable, secure, and maintainable CI/CD pipelines with consistent standards and documentation

  • Portfolio and roadmap visibility improves through effective configuration of Portfolio++ and Azure DevOps Boards

  • Integrations between Azure DevOps and third-party tools are stable, well-documented, and aligned to client workflows

  • Client teams are enabled through clear runbooks, guidance, and hands-on support that drives adoption
