About us:

Parabola is a workflow builder that makes it easy to organize and transform messy data from anywhere—even PDFs, emails, and spreadsheets—so that forward-thinking teams can automate the work they thought would always be manual.

Teams at fast-moving companies like Brooklinen, On Running, and Flexport use Parabola to save hundreds of hours and finally take on the projects that used to feel out of reach. Whether it’s reconciling inventory across multiple 3PLs, auditing invoices, or manually exporting the same report every Monday, Parabola gives teams the power to automate it—all without needing engineering support.

Parabola is backed by OpenView Partners, Matrix Partners, Thrive Capital and more.

About the role:

The Automation Engineering team at Parabola is the conduit through which our largest and most strategic accounts pass through on their way to unlocking the maximum value from our product.

As a Senior Automation Engineer on our Growth team, you will be directly responsible for partnering with key accounts post implementation to ensure value realization continues throughout their lifecycle.

Your mission is to drive sustained adoption, expansion of use cases, and measurable business impact across complex organizations. You’ll proactively monitor account usage and engagement signals, identify opportunities to deepen value, and work directly with customers to design and deploy new workflows that solve evolving business challenges.

You’ll serve as a trusted partner to both technical and business stakeholders, ranging from the C-Suite to the analyst, for executive summaries, lunch-and-learns, onsite workshops, and hands-on build sessions.

While you will not own commercial negotiations, you will own nearly everything else: customer strategy, technical execution, stakeholder alignment, and long-term success. This role sits at the intersection of customer success & solutions engineering, ensuring our largest customers continue to see Parabola as a core part of their operations.

You’ll be the first hire in this role, building the playbook from the ground up. You’ll lead with data, move fast, and operate comfortably in ambiguity while shaping how we support our most strategic customers. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and other teams to get things done.

About You

You love customers and are naturally curious about how their businesses truly work. You enjoy learning the ins and outs of their organizations, mapping company level goals to functional outcomes, and helping teams leverage automation to accelerate meaningful results.

You’re energized by meeting new teams, uncovering new use cases, learning new systems, and turning ideas into deployed, repeatable solutions. Along the way, you naturally build playbooks and best practices that scale across accounts.

You’re equally comfortable facilitating strategic conversations with senior leaders and getting your hands dirty technically. You can present confidently to executives, lead collaborative workshops, and seamlessly transition into working with APIs, prompting the latest AI models, and bringing Parabola flows to life.

You’re skilled at managing multiple initiatives at once, creating clear project plans, and maintaining momentum in complex customer environments.

Above all, you are a trusted advisor that is thoughtful, confident, and personable. You represent Parabola professionally, advocate for the customers you support, and take ownership of ensuring they continue to realize and expand value with our product.

What you'll be doing

  • Own post-implementation relationships for 12–20 strategic accounts, serving as a trusted advisor from executive sponsors to hands-on operators

  • Monitor and analyze product usage and engagement metrics to assess account health, identify risk, and surface expansion opportunities

  • Partner with customer stakeholders to map organizational goals to functional initiatives and high-impact automation use cases

  • Design, build, and deploy new workflows alongside customers, supporting end users through hands-on co-building and technical guidance

  • Lead QBRs, trainings, lunch-and-learns, workshops, and executive readouts tailored to a wide range of audiences

  • Develop and refine repeatable playbooks and best practices to drive sustained adoption across mature accounts

  • Build and maintain project artifacts including plans, timelines, enablement materials, and executive-facing presentations

  • Partner with Account Executives and internal product teams to support renewals, identify upsell opportunities, and surface actionable product feedback

What (we think) you'll need to do it

  • 5-7 years of experience in a customer-facing role, such as Technical Account Management, Technical Customer Success, Implementation Consulting, or Sales Engineering

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to quickly build trust and rapport across a wide range of stakeholders

  • Polished presentation and facilitation skills, including comfort presenting to executive audiences

  • Experienced in quantifying ROI and building business cases that clearly communicate impact and value to executive stakeholders

  • Comfort and familiarity with prompting modern AI models and applying them in real-world business contexts

  • Hands-on technical experience working with data and systems, including advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and APIs

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for breaking down complex challenges and designing effective solutions across industries

  • Intellectually curious and quick to learn, with the ability to ramp rapidly in new industries, systems, and workflows

  • Based in San Francisco or New York City, with the ability to commute to the office 3–4 days per week

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice to haves:

  • Previous experience working with no/low code tools.

  • Experience working in a project based role - i.e. consulting.

  • Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals or finance/accounting

  • Previous experience working in a start up environment.
