Position Overview
As an integral member of Rockpoint’s Technology Team, this role will be focused on supporting our IT infrastructure in a hybrid environment residing in VMware on-premises and Azure or AWS in the cloud. This role is for an IT professional with proven experience in an enterprise environment who thrive on maintaining operations at a dynamic company, driving enhancements to our end-users, and collaborating across functions. This role will take ownership of Rockpoint’s server and application infrastructure, identifying and implementing measures to improve reliability, resiliency, efficiency, and performance in accordance with cybersecurity and compliance requirements. Additional responsibilities include being an escalation point and mentor to team members as required for employee technical support. This position reports directly to the Head of Technology.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the Microsoft 365 infrastructure application stack including Teams (Teams Telephony), Exchange Online, InTune, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Implement and manage infrastructure systems running in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments
- Deploy knowledge and skills to support the planning, installation, integration, and configuration of infrastructure systems and networks in a multi-office, geographically dispersed enterprise
- Conduct data backup and restoration procedures for servers and user data, maintaining and testing long term archives in a regulated environment
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for infrastructure components including servers, network switches, and firewalls and serve as a point of escalation for advanced endpoint and infrastructure issues
- Assist with regular planning and testing of business continuity, compliance programs, and related policies
- Administer and respond to support requests as an escalation point for the technology support team
- Provide mentorship and training to technologists to improve organization support
- Participate in after-hours support on a rotational basis
- May be required to lift 50lbs infrequently
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or related area with proven academic performance
- 3+ years of experience in a junior administrator or equivalent role highly preferred
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of end users
- Experience managing multi-office infrastructure systems, including monitoring, real-time replication, backup systems, high-availability services, and on-premise to cloud migrations of VMs and services; efficiently leverages cloud resources across AWS and Azure
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve advanced endpoint, infrastructure, connectivity, and network issues in complex multi-platform environments
- Plans and executes cybersecurity and compliance initiatives while implementing and maintaining modern authentication practices such as SSO and MFA
- Able to demonstrate expertise administering all aspects of Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS environments in a fast-paced and regulated environment
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft PowerShell automation or similar automation language preferred
- Strong documentation, project management, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated capacity to take ownership, be accountable, and learn quickly
- Team-player, with an ability to solve problems while collaborating with various interdepartmental personnel

Location
The position is based primarily in Rockpoint’s Boston office.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 annually.
