What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Work within project teams as a contributor to design, prototype, implement and unit test software solutions in support of the project objectives.
- Translate logical designs of user/system interfaces into physical designs, considering the target environment, performance requirements and existing systems.
- Work in a matrix, team environment with Pfizer colleagues as well as vendor partners.
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Focus on growing as an engineer, learning existing tools, resources and DevOps processes.
- Develop productivity skills by learning source control, editors (IDE), build systems (CI/CD), Cloud platforms (Atlassian, GitHub, AWS), and other tools as well as unit testing best practices.

- Work under general supervision using own judgement where needed.
- Proactively reporting issues and enhancements.
- Documenting processes.
- Debugging and fixing simple to moderately complex technical issues.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Bsc degree is required in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a software developer/engineer .
- Demonstrated skills in analysis and problem solving .
- Fundamental knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS.
- Proficiency in Python; experience with Node.js is a plus.
- Knowledge using GitHub for source control and Git Actions for CICD workflows.
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Understands modern software engineering, including coding standard, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and releasing.
- Knowledge of SQL and database interaction.
- Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence and MS Teams.
- Ability to challenge, improve and develop existing practices & processes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to drive work forward and work well in a geographically dispersed, virtual team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Advanced degree.
- Experience with OpenSearch.
- Knowledge of Terraform.
- Hands-on experience operating and managing AWS infrastructure.
- Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry.
