The Gate’s differentiated access to tech leaders is supported by a long-standing presence in investment management, proven late-stage value creation, and deep connectivity across the U.S. finance and policy ecosystems. The Opportunity

Reporting directly to one of the firm’s partners, the person joining us today will have the opportunity to help build the next stage of the platform. You will play a central role in growing The Gate's co-investment engine and vehicles.

We are looking for an ambitious, highly driven product specialist to leverage the unique origination engine of the firm into co-investment. The successful candidate will focus their time meeting prospective investors, will maintain a high cadence of investor engagement and will ensure co-investments allocations obtained by the platform are fully executed. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys fundraising—someone who is energized by meeting a wide variety of investors, cultivating relationships over time and earning commitments through credibility, persistence and execution.

The role is based in New York with consideration for remote location.

Key Responsibilities

·       Leverage current fundraising processes, CRM discipline and investor coverage models.

·       Manage and grow the pool of potential investors through database ownership and emailing processes.

·       Own due diligence, data rooms and fundraising materials.

·       Prepare bespoke analyses and presentations for prospective investors.

·       Efficiently manage deadline driven co-investment processes in a competitive market  environment.

·       Support negotiations through successful commitments and closings.

·       Respond to investor requests with urgency, accuracy and professionalism.

·       Ensure every interaction reflects The Gate's standards of excellence and professionalism.

Candidate Profile

·       Approximately 3–6 years of experience within a private equity firm or top 10 private bank in a private investments solutions group.

·       Excellent command of fundraising processes across large database, outreach, content and engagement.

·       Client-focused mindset and commitment to providing an excellent experience for current and prospective investors

·       Self-starter with a strong ownership mentality and urge to convert.

·       Bachelor’s degree required

·       Series 7 and 63 required or to be obtained within 90 days of commencement

Career development

Success in the role can lead to responsibility over the full co-investment practice of the firm. If you are looking for a role where your contribution can shape the trajectory of an investment firm for the next decade, this is that opportunity.

Remuneration

Competitive salary and performance-based bonus, health insurance, potential for shared deal economics.

Due to the high volume of candidates, please be advised that only candidates selected to interview will be contacted by The Gate Technologies Capital.
