Senior Associate, Institutional Retirement Income Solutions

Support product management and business development for Defined Contribution and Pension Risk Transfer solutions. Perform market and competitive analysis, build financial models, prepare client and leadership materials, coordinate pricing and case execution, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to strategic initiatives to grow the Institutional Retirement Income business.

As a Senior Associate within New York Life's Institutional Retirement Income Solutions team, you'll play a key role in driving growth across two of the company's strategic business segments: Defined Contribution (DC) Retirement Income and Pension Risk Transfer (PRT). This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of product strategy, market analysis, and business development in a rapidly evolving retirement landscape. You'll support strategic initiatives, contribute to competitive positioning, and help shape how New York Life delivers retirement security to plan sponsors and participants. Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

Role Overview:

What You'll Do:
- Support PRT product management activities, including pricing coordination, case support, process improvement initiatives, and leading internal and external discussions to ensure transactions are executed successfully
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic positioning and identify growth opportunities
- Develop financial models and analytical frameworks to evaluate business opportunities and support decision-making
- Assist in developing materials for partnership discussions, client presentations, and internal leadership meetings
- Support advisor and consultant outreach efforts to build awareness of NYL's retirement income solutions
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics across DC and PRT markets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with distribution, operations, legal, and actuarial teams to advance strategic priorities
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives that support the growth of the Institutional Retirement Income business
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree preferred - bonus if in business, mathematics, economics, finance, actuarial science related areas with strong quantitative and analytical skills
- 3+ years of professional experience, ideally in financial services, asset management, insurance, or retirement-related fields
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfort building models and creating executive-ready presentations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn about retirement products, markets, and competitive dynamics
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience in retirement, annuities, or institutional markets is a plus but not required
- Candidates must be willing to obtain Life/Accident/Health insurer licensing credentials
