As a member of our Investor Relations and Business Development (IRBD) team within our Client Research and Marketing functions, you will create and maintain investor-facing content that explains our quantitative strategies to sophisticated institutional audiences. You will work closely with IRBD colleagues in Client Research, Marketing, and Sales, and collaborate with Research, Reporting, and Compliance, to help deliver insights that foster a deeper understanding of Voleon’s research and portfolios. You will turn data and research into clear narratives and visuals, strengthening our partnerships among the world’s leading institutional investors and contributing to capital growth efforts.
This position is open to remote work in the US with the option to work hybrid/onsite at our offices in Berkeley or New York.
Responsibilities
- Work independently and collaboratively with senior team members develop materials for investors, including presentations, fact sheets, investor letters, and thought-leadership pieces, with a strong emphasis on data-analysis, accuracy, clarity, and visual excellence
- Help translate quantitative research and portfolio results into clear, accurate narratives and visuals for institutional investors
- Own standard material updates, coordinating inputs across teams and ensuring timely, error-free delivery
- Drive content from draft to final approval, incorporating feedback from leadership and teammates
- Partner with sales, investment, and back/middle office teams to gather data and respond to RFIs, DDQs, and ad-hoc requests
- Help design and enforce content style guidelines and templates to ensure consistency across communications
- Work closely with Compliance to obtain necessary approvals and maintain required disclosures
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working within the investment management industry
- Outstanding organizational skills to set priorities, manage multiple deliverables in parallel and meet time sensitive deadlines
- Excellent analytical rigor and robust attention to detail
- Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel, including experience using MS Office software to produce high quality presentations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with hedge fund investment strategies and investing concepts
- Exposure to financial databases or data delivery, e.g., Bloomberg
- Ability to code in python, R, or similar languages
- CFA or CAIA or willingness to pursue these certifications
The base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
