Forbes is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Sr Architect to join our Engineering team. It will be your responsibility to collaborate with peer Architects, Engineers, and leadership to shape the technical direction of Forbes’ initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Feature architecture, development, and mentorship for engineering excellence 
  • Participate and lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies
  • Lead and define technical solutions for projects
  • Develop features with high-quality, maintainable, scalable code
  • Oversee and participate in code reviews
  • Champion Unit and Integration Testing
  • Analyze and resolve emerging technical issues
  • Collaborate with product owners and designers
  • Lead and/or contribute to architectural conversations and decisions
  • Drive and contribute to improvements and standardization of process
  • Assess the feasibility of projects
  • Introduce standardized processes
  • Make detailed plans to accomplish goals
  • Champion Engineering Excellence

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Clear and positive communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Drive to train, mentor and help other engineers grow
  • A product-value driven mindset
  • Deep understanding of the full technical stack
  • Ability to lead multiple technical initiatives
  • BigQuery and/or GCP experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the following (or similar) technologies: GraphQL, Go, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, TypeScript, Webpack, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Shell scripting, Python, GCP (and cloud technologies in general)
  • Knowledge of comp sci fundamentals
  • Knowledge/familiarity with Relational & Graph DB's, Server-side Apps, Legacy Systems, and large-scale system migrations

The annual base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $185,000
