Location & Flexibility

Our Senior Animator will have the ability to work in a hybrid (Work from Near) capacity out of our offices in Boston, MA, Charlottesville, VA, Columbus, OH, Durham, NC. Our Work From Near culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices.

The Opportunity 

We are seeking a versatile Senior Animator to transform client ideas into impactful video animations, brand visuals, and engaging digital experiences. In partnership with multidisciplinary teams, our Senior Animator will work on a wide range of projects for global clients across diverse industries. 

Responsibilities
  • Animate and render high quality video and motion for a variety of industries and use cases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling visual concepts
  • Own the end-to-end creative process, including storyboarding, asset creation, style frame design, and animatic development
  • Coordinate with voiceover talent to ensure audio aligns with the intended tone and pacing
  • Present your work to internal and external stakeholders, articulating creative decisions and strategic value
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in animation and motion graphics, with 5+ years of experience in both 2D and 3D
  • Demonstrated mastery of animation fundamentals, supported by a compelling motion reel
  • Thorough understanding of the end-to-end video and animation production process
  • Strong versatility across a wide range of animation styles and industry applications
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently or collaborate seamlessly throughout all stages of production
  • Proficient in After Effects, with intermediate skills in a 3D application such as Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Bonus Points
  • Proficiency with generative AI tools for animation and video
  • Skilled in character animation techniques
  • Familiarity with browser-based animation, including WebGL or three.js
  • Experience designing animations to enhance UI/UX

$110,000 - $126,000 USD
