- Drive the design, development, test and enhancement of difficult high impact software solutions, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
- Design and deliver high quality tested software aligned with company guidelines and best practices, maintaining comprehensive documentation for software design, implementation, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Identify and resolve difficult to diagnose software defects and issues to ensure product robustness and reliability. Address root causes and classes of defects when making fixes.
- Balance technical approach, business needs and time when making technical decisions.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, lead technical discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align on goals, manage dependencies and resolve difficult technical issues.
- Demonstrate influence and results beyond their own immediate work, influencing the work of others and setting the direction for a project.
- Self-directed creation of software plans, schedules, and execution of projects setting clear timelines and success criteria.
- As a key technical contributor to the team, generate ideas (investments, processes, tooling) which improve the system and/or engineering productivity as a whole.
