About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant - Consumer Lending Global Operations Data Analytic and Reporting (DAR).
 

In this role, you will:

  • Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors

  • Review and analyze moderately complex, large structured and unstructured data sets from various sources, requiring an in-depth hypothesis generation and advanced analysis of variable factors to convert data into meaningful insights and recommendations

  • Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs

  • Develop impactful dashboards and visualizations for senior leadership, leveraging the latest data and analytics platforms to deliver next-day insights on SLAs, KPIs, and productivity metrics

  • Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements

  • Lead or participate on large cross group projects

  • Mentor less experienced staff

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 1+ years of Python experience

  • 1+ years of hands-on programming using SQL or SAS

Desired Qualifications:

  • Teradata & ML Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Teradata/Teradata Vantage, including writing SQL queries and utilizing built-in Machine Learning (ML) functions.

  • Python & SQL Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with a particular emphasis on working within Teradata environments.

  • ML & NLP Expertise: Solid foundation in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing, with practical experience applying these techniques to real-world problems.

  • LLM & Prompt Engineering: Familiarity with Large Language Models and prompt engineering techniques is preferred, indicating an understanding of modern AI tools and their applications.

  • Consultative Problem Solving: Ability to understand business needs, develop analytical solutions, and effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data manipulation using SQL, and the ability to convert complex datasets into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

  • Business Acumen & Multitasking: Expected to quickly grasp business concepts, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to shifting project demands.

  • Operational Metrics Development: Proven ability to design and implement operational metrics (e.g., capacity, productivity, risk) that support strategic business initiatives.

  • Collaboration & Initiative: Demonstrated ability to work well in teams and independently, take initiative, and embrace challenging assignments with a proactive mindset.
