Join us as a Senior SAS Developer, where you'll play a pivotal role in building advanced analytics solutions and scalable data infrastructure to support our ACO’s value-based care initiatives. WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:
- Build, maintain, and optimize SAS data marts by developing that aggregate and organize claims, eligibility, pharmacy, and EMR/EHR data into structured, analytic-ready formats, ensuring a centralized and accessible data source for the analytics team.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, proactively resolving discrepancies and ensuring alignment with quality, health plan, and CMS reporting standards.
- Develop automated SAS workflows using batch processing, Shell scripting, and job scheduling tools to streamline routine data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Assist with SAS environment setup, configuration, and maintenance, ensuring stability and
- Monitor job performance and implement logging/error-handling mechanisms for proactive troubleshooting and optimization
- Work with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless execution of SAS jobs in production environments, optimizing resource allocation and system performance.
- Work closely with IT, data governance, and business intelligence teams to operationalize analytic solutions and integrate new data sources and technologies.
- Act as a key liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring data solutions align with organizational goals and stakeholder requirements.
- Stay up to date with SAS advancements and healthcare analytics trends, recommending innovative approaches to data challenges.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Public Health, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAS programming and working with healthcare data.
- Expert in Base SAS, SAS Macros, and advanced data manipulation techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and MS SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of Linux and command-line utilities
- Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- SAS administration background a plus.
- Deep understanding of healthcare data, including claims, pharmacy, eligibility, and clinical data.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards, such as HL7, FHIR, and JSON, is preferred.
- Problem solver with an attention to detail.
- Manage multiple high priority task efficiently and independently
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
