Job Summary:
UI/UX Designer
We are looking for a UX/UI Designer who will be responsible for successful research, design, adoption and utilization of our web-based product offerings.
This position will require strong experience in interface usability as well as wireframe and prototype development to deliver responsive mobile and browser-based user interfaces. The UX/UI Designer will work closely with other members of the UX team as well as the product and development teams in an agile environment to understand requirements, conduct UX surveys with customers, prepare and demonstrate high fidelity storyboard and interface prototypes, and work with the development teams through to UX testing with customers and release.
Main Responsibilities of the Job:
User Experience and User Interface design
Work with UX Researcher on UX surveys and testing
Collaborate with UX Researcher and Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure understanding of business requirements
Define a standard user experience that captures the look-and-feel and the navigation model across teams
Stay current on UX/UI industry standards and design paradigms and identify ways to implement them in our product set
Develop detailed wireframes, user flows, storyboards, mockups, prototypes, and other product deliverables to effectively communicate designs and product requirements that lead to intuitive user experiences using Figma
Regularly inform senior management on progress of project, identifying risks early in the process
Demonstrate self-directed and proactive approach to tackling problems and leveraging resources
Create engaging, easy-to-use design solutions that address complex business and user needs for both Web and mobile platforms
Lead or participate in product discovery, including user research and design prototype validation
Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Take smart risks and champion new ideas
Required Qualifications:
2+ years professional experience doing product discovery, wireframing, visuals and designing experiences
A strong portfolio demonstrating both UX and UI visual design across mobile and desktop products; deep knowledge of design principles like layout, typography, and color should be apparent
Experience in delivering comprehensive end-to-end workflow solutions to capture complex business processes, preferably in the financial services industry, but not required
Expert Proficiency with design and rapid prototype tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop (we use Figma)
Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale
Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows and cross-functional collaboration
Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments with evolving requirements
Hands-on experience with user research methodologies and usability testing
Ability to work with clients/stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client/stakeholders' needs and vision
Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG)
Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval
Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them
Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
Nice-to-Have:
Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare)
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000USD to $110,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
