THE OPPORTUNITY: 
The Senior Analyst, Semiconductor Equipment will lead the development and expansion of TechInsights' semiconductor capital equipment research service. This role focuses on delivering differentiated market intelligence across all capital equipment segments, including Lithography, Deposition, Etch, and Process Control.
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, the Senior Analyst will drive customer engagement, build a robust market analysis platform, and expand the client base to achieve revenue targets. This position requires translating strategic vision into actionable research agendas while operating within TechInsights' Manufacturing Analysis Practice.
Key responsibilities include leveraging TechInsights' technical resources and industry relationships to create compelling, data-driven insights that establish the company as a trusted authority in semiconductor capital equipment analysis.
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO 
 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Manufacturing Analysis to develop and execute mid-to-long-term growth strategies for the semiconductor equipment research practice.
  • Guide and develop the research agenda for semiconductor capital equipment analysis, ensuring alignment with market needs and company objectives.
  • Oversee and maintain strategic client relationships, providing direct support through inquiries, briefings, and consultations across all capital equipment segments.
  • Leverage customer engagements and feedback to continuously improve service offerings and inform internal product roadmaps.
  • Review and quality-check major forecasts, reports, and strategic commentary prior to publication to ensure accuracy and analytical rigor.
  • Work across verticals and business units to maximize the value of TechInsights' research capabilities and create integrated insights.
  • Manage cost and revenue budgets, drive practice renewal rates, and achieve revenue targets through strategic planning and execution.
  • Partner with sales teams to develop prospects, support client acquisition, and train team members on product coverage and value propositions.
  • Represent TechInsights at client meetings and major industry events (virtual and in-person), delivering presentations and strengthening market presence.
  • Work with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and ensure research content supports product marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to TechInsights leadership on all matters related to semiconductor manufacturing and capital equipment trends.
  • Support staff retention and development within the Manufacturing Analysis Practice, fostering a high-performance research culture.
 
 
WHAT YOU’LL BRING 
 
  • 10+ years of demonstrated market research or business analysis experience in semiconductor manufacturing-related organizations (equipment suppliers, materials companies, foundries, or IDMs)
  • Post-graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related technical discipline
  • Recognized subject matter expert in the semiconductor capital equipment industry with comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, technology trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English with executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders, clients, and industry partners.
  • Proven experience managing multiple related teams and executing moderately complex projects with demonstrated ability to set priorities, allocate resources, and deliver results.
  • Strong understanding of business objectives, commercial strategies, and the ability to translate functional goals into actionable operating plans that drive revenue growth.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex, multi-dimensional business challenges by researching, analyzing data, and applying professional judgment beyond existing methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with sound judgment, accountability for team performance, and the ability to develop and execute functional plans aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Very strong commercial orientation with proven track record in securing new business, driving renewals, and identifying emerging opportunity segments.
  • Superior organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills with ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced research environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of internal and external industry standards, principles, and best practices within the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence diverse stakeholders including senior division executives, vendors, regulators, and clients across regional or global markets.

  • This role is based out of our offices in Denver or Washington, DC, or remotely in the US
