The Senior Analyst, Canadian Tax is responsible for the reporting and compliance of two or more automotive systems groups. The Senior Analyst, Canadian Tax will work with other tax members to complete the primary responsibilities described and will also support senior members of the Tax Team in dealing with income tax audits, tax research and special projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and ensure timely compliance for federal and provincial tax returns and related filings, including supporting calculations and payments.
- Conduct tax accounting and reporting according to US GAAP, including quarterly provisions, estimates, and planning analyses.
- Update and maintain calculations for ACB, PUC, safe income, and foreign affiliate surplus.
- Support external tax audits, technical research, and compliance with internal control policies.
- Collaborate with group and divisional controllers to establish effective working relationships and implement best practices to minimize tax risks.
- Support additional projects, transactions, and administrative duties in adherence to company policies and procedures.
Who we are looking for
- Recognized accounting designation or MTAX degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of corporate tax experience.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills complemented by analytical and problem-solving expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Adept at prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and driving efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
