Our vertically integrated platform includes venue operations, catering, bar services, lodging, construction and design, and a curated vendor collective.

As we continue to grow, we are investing heavily in data infrastructure and financial systems that will support our next phase of expansion.

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst, Business Data & Systems is a newly created role that sits at the intersection of financial analysis, business intelligence, and IT systems management. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, this individual will serve as the primary owner of Walters’ financial technology stack and data infrastructure, while simultaneously functioning as a hands-on data and financial analyst who transforms raw data into actionable insights for leadership.

This is a high-impact position for someone who is equally comfortable configuring databases and API integrations as they are building executive dashboards or presenting variance analyses to the CFO. The ideal candidate brings a blend of IT/data engineering expertise and financial acumen, and thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment where they can help shape the company’s data strategy from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Systems & IT Infrastructure Management
• Own and administer the company’s financial technology ecosystem, including Sage Intacct, Planful, Celigo, Calendly, Tripleseat, Ramp, Corrigo, and Paycom.
• Manage and optimize integrations between systems via Celigo, ensuring seamless andaccurate data flow across the organization.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert and first point of contact for all financial systemsissues, configurations, and enhancements.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of future data and analytics infrastructure (e.g., Snowflake, Sigma, Power BI) as the company matures its data capabilities.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operatingprocedures for all financial technology platforms.
• Partner with external vendors, consultants, and implementation teams to execute system rollouts and upgrades.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the VP of FP& A and CFO on technology investments, system architecture, and the company’s data roadmap.

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence
• Design, build, and maintain reporting dashboards that synthesize data from multiple systems into unified, executive-ready views.
• Perform regular and ad hoc financial and operational analyses, including revenue trends, cost analysis, venue-level profitability, and key performance indicators across the portfolio.
• Create and deliver data-driven presentations and reports for executive leadership and venue operations teams.
• Develop and maintain financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes in collaboration with the broader FP&A team.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in data that drive business decisions and operational improvements.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting outputs through robust validation and reconciliation processes.

Strategic Data & Technology Leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (operations, sales, marketing, construction) to understand their data needs and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
• Champion a data-driven culture across the organization by improving data literacy, access, and self-service reporting capabilities.
• Stay current on emerging trends in financial technology, data engineering, and business intelligence relevant to the hospitality industry.
• Contribute to the long-term data strategy, including data governance, security, and scalability planning as Walters Hospitality continues its rapid growth.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in a role combining financial/data analysis with IT systems administration or data engineering.
• Demonstrated experience administering or implementing financial systems such as Sage, NetSuite, or comparable ERP/CPM platforms.
• Hands-on experience with integration platforms (Celigo, Workato, MuleSoft, or similar iPaaS tools) and managing data flows between enterprise applications.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one data visualization/BI tool (Tableau, Power BI,
Sigma, or similar).
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, including complex financial modeling, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
• Proven ability to build executive-level dashboards and reports that communicate complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Proven success as a project manager.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of building data infrastructure from the ground up in a high growth or entrepreneurial environment.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Approaches problems with intellectual curiosity and a commitment to data- driven decision-making. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to structure analyses fromscratch.

  • Systems Thinking: Sees connections between disparate platforms and data sources. Understands how changes in one system cascade across the technology ecosystem.
