OverviewWhat You Will Do
We are seeking a Senior AI Technical Product Manager to serve as the primary product driver for the illumend initiative. This is a role for a "strong doer" who lives, eats, and breathes product management in an AI-first world. You won’t just manage a roadmap; you will fully own the creation of development-ready tickets, conduct live prototyping, and deeply embed AI into your daily workflow to move with immense velocity.
You must take a highly complex B2B topic—one that the end-user does not know, understand, or care to understand—and translate it into an experience that feels insanely simple and consumer-oriented. You aren't just building features; you are designing an intuitive interface that triggers behavioral psychology and drives humans to take definitive action.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have the unique opportunity to help design a new platform, add innovative product lanes, and redefine our space.
Responsibilities- Proven track record of product leadership, ideally gained at a start up tech firm where you developed a rigorous approach to the product craft
- You Do not just understand AI; you operate in a "fully AI way," leveraging tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar to accelerate documentation, ticketing, and live prototyping
- You refuse to rely on second-hand information. You are driven to dig in and learn the customer’s needs directly to balance user value against business costs and technical effort
- You are comfortable owning the long-term strategy while remaining deep in the weeds of technical requirements, detailed documentation, roadmap planning and ticketing
- You are a confident leader who prioritizes solving the customer’s problem above all else, even if it means challenging internal assumptions or executive direction
- Turn complex, dense B2B requirements into a frictionless, consumer-oriented user experience. Abstract away the underlying complexity so the product feels effortless to the end-user
- Design features, workflows, and prompts rooted in a deep understanding of human behavior, explicitly engineered to motivate users to take the specific actions required for success
- Operate in a "fully AI way." Utilize AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) to exponentially accelerate documentation, draft comprehensive PRDs, write highly detailed developer tickets, and build rapid, live prototypes
- Take absolute ownership of the product delivery pipeline. Translate customer workflows and complex technical architecture into precise, granular, and airtight technical requirements ready for development
- Refuse to rely on secondhand information. Dig in directly to learn the customer’s actual needs, habits, and psychology to ensure we are designing the absolute right solutions
- Conduct rapid prototyping experiments to test functionality, validate user behavior, and quickly iterate on new UX concepts before they hit full development
- Ability to conduct live prototyping experiments and a deep understanding of how AI impacts the product lifecycle
- You are thorough and diligent in your documentation and product delivery processes
- Use AI tools to accelerate documentation, summarize meetings, draft specs, organize information, and keep delivery artifacts thorough and current
- Deep familiarity with product-led growth, behavioral psychology, or UX methodologies aimed at driving user activation, engagement, and habit formation
- A strong technical background (perhaps having come up through a technical lane or engineering background) that allows you to confidently drive architecture discussions and bridge the gap between product complexity and engineering execution
- A strong aversion to big-company bureaucracy. You thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment where you must be self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable operating with high velocity
- An obsessive empathy for the user. The rare ability to ruthlessly cut down clutter and simplify user flows down to their absolute essence
- Mastery of modern AI tools to optimize your daily work—using AI to summarize user feedback, draft specifications, organize complex information, and keep delivery artifacts thorough and current
- You are thorough, diligent, and obsessive about clean documentation, roadmap planning, and ticket structuring.
