About Aura:

Aura is a fast-growing online safety solutions provider dedicated to protecting individuals and families at every stage of life. Our mission is to empower our customers to navigate the digital world safely by offering proactive tools to detect and mitigate online threats, such as scams, predators, and cyberbullying. We are committed to innovation and leveraging cutting-edge technology, particularly AI, to address the evolving challenges of online safety and well-being.

About the Role:

Aura is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior AI Product Manager to drive the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for AI-driven features and personalized experiences that enhance our ability to protect and delight our customers. You will work closely with design, engineering, and cross-functional product management peers to bring innovative AI products to market. This role requires a strong understanding of Agentic AI and ML technologies, product management best practices, and a passion for creating impactful solutions that customers love to use.

If you thrive on turning nascent AI prototypes into production‑grade platforms and product experiences—and love collaborating across functions to make that happen—this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product leaders across various capabilities and markets to identify opportunities and customer needs that can be addressed through AI solutions
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineers and data scientists to develop and implement a scalable agentic AI platform that enables rapid prototyping and feature development
  • Work with Design to deliver flexible UI components (chat surfaces, inline assistants, agent hand‑off flows) that can be reused and tailored by various product lines for unique customer use cases
  • Act as the connective tissue between Engineering, Design, GTM, Legal, and each product‑line PM.
  • Define and track key metrics to measure the success of AI product features and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform product decisions and ensure a user-centric approach.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML and online safety to identify new opportunities for innovation.
  • Communicate product plans, progress, tradeoffs, and results to stakeholders, including executives, engineering, marketing, and sales.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering or product management experience, with at least three years of product management experience
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and technologies.
  • Proven ability to define and execute product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Passion for online safety and a desire to make a positive impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity, online safety, or related industry.
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or behavioral analytics.
  • Experience working at startups
  • Experience building Agentic AI products

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
