We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist who combines deep mathematical rigor with practical machine learning expertise.
In this role, you'll architect and deploy agentic AI systems to solve complex, real-world challenges, and accelerate data-driven product innovation in the Infrastructure Observability domain.
You'll bridge theory and practice - fine-tuning foundation models (LLMs/transformers), optimising generative AI and translating experimental results into scalable, production-grade AI services.
What you'll do
- Research, prototype and optimize end-to-end ML pipelines and experimentation frameworks to detect anomalies across multimodal data (logs, metrics, traces, events)
- Partner with SREs, DevOps teams, and software engineers to translate domain expertise into AI features (e.g., anomaly detection, fault domain isolation, and root cause analysis) while ensuring the models remain interpretable and actionable.
- Research and prototype AI-powered RCA tools that automatically identify the root cause of incidents across multiple systems and layers (e.g., application, infrastructure, network) while accounting for causality, noise, and incomplete data. In Dynatrace we build our own Root Cause Engine.
- Work on designing AI systems that can handle hyper-scale environments with millions of monitored entities and petabytes of signal data, ensuring low-latency insights and answers without overwhelming users with false positives or irrelevant recommendations.
- Educate on the potential and limitations of AI, acting as a bridge between engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Lead experimental design, data analysis, and performance benchmarking.
- Author technical publications, present findings at conferences, and mentor junior engineers
What will help you succeed
- Master's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics with focus on AI/ML or Computational Neuroscience; PhD is a plus.
- 5+ years' experience in applied data science, with a track record of deploying mathematical models at scale.
- Proficiency with Python (NumPy, pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow), strong coding skills.
- Hands-on experience fine-tuning and deploying LLMs and generative AI architectures.
- Solid understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, and ML operations.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Domain knowledge related to Observability and/or IT Infrastructure or willingness to learn.
Why you will love being a Dynatracer
- A one-product software company creating real value for the largest enterprises and millions of end customers globally, striving for a world where software works perfectly.
- Working with the latest technologies and at the forefront of innovation in tech on scale; but also, in other areas like marketing, design, or research.
- A team that thinks outside the box, welcomes unconventional ideas, and pushes boundaries.
- An environment that fosters innovation, enables creative collaboration, and allows you to grow.
- A globally unique and tailor-made career development program recognizing your potential, promoting your strengths, and supporting you in achieving your career goals.
- A truly international mindset with Dynatracers from different countries & cultures all over the world, and English as the corporate language that connects us all
- A culture that is being shaped by the diverse personalities, expertise, and backgrounds of our global team.
Compensation Data
- We offer only employment contracts (PL: Umowa o pracę / UoP) and a hybrid working setup with 2/3 days per week in the office. This is a permanent role and not a B2B contract.
- We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
- Base salary range - starting from 19.500 PLN gross per month.
