In this role you will lead full-cycle recruiting for highly specialized actuarial roles across pricing, reserving, forecasting, underwriting and medical economics functions.
What You Are Known For
-Demonstrated understanding of actuarial career paths, exams, and credentialing progression (ASA/FSA).
-Leading structured, data-driven intake conversations focused on exam requirements, modeling expertise, and business-specific actuarial needs.
-Advising actuarial leaders on talent strategy, exam-based career progression, compensation structures, and competitive market dynamics.
-Partnering with hiring leaders to calibrate expectations around actuarial skill sets, credentialing timelines, and realistic candidate availability.
-The ability to communicate complex information clearly and influence cross‑functional stakeholders at all levels.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in offer preparation and documentation.
In This Role You Will
-Serve as a strategic recruiting advisor to actuarial and finance leaders, providing guidance on talent market conditions, hiring strategies, and competitive intelligence.
-Influence and challenge business partners using data, insights, and market expertise to ensure alignment on talent strategies, candidate profiles, and hiring decisions.
-Build trusted relationships with hiring managers to understand business priorities, market dynamics, and both immediate and long‑term talent needs.
-Bring informed understanding of actuarial work, including exams, credentialing paths, common career trajectories, and key technical skill sets (e.g., modeling, pricing, reserving, risk analysis).
-Develop and maintain strong, diverse pipelines for highly specialized actuarial and finance roles.
-Provide market insights and competitive intelligence, translating trends and data into actionable recommendations for the business.
-Own full‑cycle recruiting from intake through offer acceptance, ensuring a seamless, inclusive, and positive candidate experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition
- Demonstrated experience advising and influencing business leaders, driving alignment, and presenting data‑based recommendations.
- Experience using progressive recruiting techniques, including direct sourcing of passive candidates, competitive intelligence, and advanced Internet/social media recruiting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Actuarial recruitment experience preferred.
- Experience recruiting for highly specialized, credential-driven roles (e.g., actuarial, quantitative analytics, or finance).
- Experience preparing and presenting recruiting reports to leadership, including using data to tell a clear, actionable story.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and ways of working.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience (HS Diploma + 4 years of relevant work experience) required.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
