As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our regional and retail-focused finance activities. You will partner closely with the Senior Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to execute accurate technical accounting, lead IFRS reporting processes, and drive continuous improvement in month-end close and intercompany operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage technical accounting processes related to IFRS 15 (ASC 606) and IFRS 16 (ASC 842), including ongoing analysis and validation of calculations.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in the financial statement close and intercompany activities across Amplifon Americas and Italy.
Prepare month-end general ledger reconciliations, investigating outstanding or out-of-balance items.
Support internal and external audits, including creating standalone financial statements for two Americas business units.
Prepare monthly financial reports; interpret and analyze financial data to recommend corrective actions.
Partner with Procurement on Procure-to-Pay activities, account understanding, and issue resolution.
Collaborate cross-functionally, especially with procurement and regional finance leaders, to resolve discrepancies and strengthen accounting accuracy.
Qualifications in this role include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
5+ years of accounting experience or 3+ years of public accounting experience
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and demonstrated experience applying them in ambiguous or technical situations.
Experience with general ledger functions including AP, AR, intercompany transactions, accruals, and intangibles.
Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, tables, and pivot charts. Ability to build workbooks to analyze and present data.
Proven ability to work with accuracy, attention to detail, and within tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Oracle ERP experience
Exposure to mid-sized or large companies, particularly in retail environments.
Experience with Procure-to-Pay processes.
Strong analytical approach with an ability to identify and resolve root causes.
Curiosity and a hunger to grow into broader responsibilities.
Experience with macros or VBA is a plus.
Compensation: Based on qualifications we anticipate the hiring range will be $80,000-$95,000.
