Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 + Equity Options
*compensation may be negotiated based on experience

Ketryx is excited to add a Senior Accountant to the finance team in Boston. This position will build and lead the accounting function of the business. This position will be onsite in our Boston office. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. or Canada. Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the month/year-end close process, financial reporting, and reconciliation of all key existing balance sheet accounts
• Develop and enforce consistency of accounting policies, internal controls, with a lens on scalable processes to support company growth
• Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, ensuring compliance with SaaS industry standards
• Understand SaaS metrics and the data make-up that supports them as the reporting needs and strategic objectives change
• Support cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling in collaboration with FP&A
• Work with external tax and audit partners to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Assist in due diligence preparation and financial reporting for investors and board members
• Collaborate with department leads to improve financial visibility, budgeting process and accountability across teams
• Recommend and implement software and automation tools to improve and optimize accounting efficiency of the core areas of accounts payable, receivable, and expense management processes
• Provide narrative of variance analysis of budget vs actual BVA and scope adjustments to assumptions of future forecasts 
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, benefits accounting, and equity compensation reporting

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
• Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. revenue recognition, R&D capitalization, etc.) for software companies
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience developing and documenting accounting processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem solving-skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Currently in the Greater Boston area, willing to work in our Kendall Square office in a hybrid work structure which is currently 4:1.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA certification
• Prior startup or high-growth company experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• Background in SaaS or technologies companies
• Previous experience managing external provider relationships
