About the Role: 

The Senior Accountant is a key member of Dragos' finance team, responsible for supporting the company's general ledger and accounting operations with emphasis on month-end and quarter-end close processes. Reporting to the Senior Manager, General Accounting, this role supports the timely delivery of reliable financial information to internal stakeholders and external partners, while maintaining strong operational controls and compliance standards. 

The role will report to the Senior Manager, General Accounting. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support month-end and quarter-end close across multiple entities 
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations (cash, fixed assets, debt, accruals, prepaids)
  • Perform variance analysis and document significant variances for management 
  • Prepare journal entries, including accruals, depreciation, amortization and cash postings 
  • Track fixed asset records and depreciation 
  • Manage accruals and prepaids; ensure proper period cutoff 
  • Support financial statement consolidation  
  • Support audit and compliance activities as applicable 
  • Partner with tax and other departments on accurate, timely accounting 
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities 
  • Support special projects as assigned 
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information 

Qualifications: 

  • 3-4 years of operational accounting experience, including month-end and quarter-end close process 
  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity, multi-currency environment with competing deadlines 
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP system 
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles 
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas); solid proficiency in Word 
  • Strong attention to detail; commitment to maintaining a low error rate through self-review and quality control 
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate for problem resolution with the finance team and other departments while maintaining positive working relationships 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to research issues independently and propose solutions 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical accounting concepts clearly 
  • Experience in a SaaS, technology, or fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment preferred 

Compensation:
