We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Planner to oversee and drive the strategic planning and execution for our Department Store accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of the beauty and skincare industry, as well as the specific dynamics and requirements of Macys and Nordstrom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive sales, forecasting and merchandising plans, by channel, to maximize our brand’s performance and market share within these key retail partners.

Responsibilities

SALES AND STOCK PLANNING

  • Create, monitor and adjust shipping plans to ensure delivery of gross shipment objectives.

  • Collaborate with Account Manager to ensure accuracy of launch quantities, and with retailer to achieve 100% sell in.

  • Develop and execute top-down sales planning by sku, aligning with overall company sales goals and breaking them down into targets for individual regions, stores, or product categories.

  • Conduct bottoms-up planning by analysing historical data, regional market trends, and store-level insights to create accurate forecasts for each SKU by store.

  • Develop sales and stock plans for emails, events, animations, and promotions, ensuring we have the POs to execute effectively

  • Own newness forecasts and buys to support all merchandising and promo strategies.

PO AND DISTRIBUTION ANALYSIS

  • Daily monitoring of POs in EDI, noting ship windows, allocation by DC, etc

  • Alerting Account Management, order fulfilment, and retailer team if corrections to POs are necessary, and ensuring follow-up on their resolutions

  • Partner with Order Fulfilment and Account Management team to prioritize POs, make cut recommendations, and communicate delays and risks to minimize OOS

  • Tracking POs from receipt to delivery

  • Monitor chargebacks, damages, and returns

STOCK ANALYSIS AND REPORTING

  • Assess and report on stock levels by SKU, at the DC level, in-transit, and store level - highlighting any callouts or discrepancies

  • Generate and analyse weekly, monthly, quarterly and seasonal sales reporting for mix of business, retail sales, and net shipments. Identify key weeks where we can make up business losses.

  • Identify opportunities and develop action plans to achieve financial goals

Preferred Qualification and Experience

  • 5 years’ experience as a Planner - Macys experience is required, Nordstrom experience a plus.

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Numbers oriented

  • Proven ability to follow up and maintain timelines.

  • Flexible and adaptive attitude to changing business needs and a fast-paced work
