Do you have a passion for driving results and a desire to work with complex, mission-driven organizations?

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive with a proven track record and deep experience in the higher education sector to join our sales team and drive new customer acquisition.

Envisio is one of Western Canada’s fastest-growing software companies, recently named one of 2026’s Top 100 GovTech companies. We partner with organizations across the public sector, including local governments, nonprofits, school districts, and higher education institutions, to help them plan, execute, and deliver on their most important priorities.

The Role

  • Own the entire sales cycle: from initial discovery to close
  • Develop and grow a pipeline with a focus on higher education institutions (colleges, universities, and related organizations) within the public sector
  • Build value-driven relationships with senior leaders across Higher Education, including
Provosts, Presidents, and leaders in Institutional Effectiveness, Strategic Planning, Performance Management, Finance, and IT
  • Leverage your existing network within higher education to identify and develop new opportunities
  • Identify customer challenges and position Envisio’s platform as a solution for integrated planning, strategic alignment, performance management and data analytics, institutional effectiveness, and driving accountability and performance across the organization
  • Partner with Solutions Consultants / Sales Engineers to deliver tailored, value-oriented demonstrations for senior leadership teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build and present proof of concepts
  • Initiate, negotiate, and close new contracts
  • Light travel required

This is a unique opportunity to expand Envisio’s footprint within higher education, while also contributing to Envisio’s broader growth.

Experience and Education

  • 7+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Direct experience selling into higher education institutions
  • Strong network and relationships across colleges, universities, and education systems
  • Familiarity with concepts such as integrated planning, performance management and strategic planning cycles within higher education
  • Experience selling enterprise software solutions to mid-market and large organizations in a B2G (government), or B2E (education) environment
  • Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes and long sales cycles
  • Working knowledge of sales methodologies (MEDDIC, GAP, Sandler, SPIN, etc.)
  • Experience in managing a pipeline and accurately forecasting revenue
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, GovSpend, and AI tools
  • Ability to stay focused and adaptable in a fast-growing environment

Key Attributes

  • Solution-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven with a strong sense of urgency
  • Credible and consultative with senior stakeholders
  • Strong relationship builder with genuine curiosity about client challenges and how we can help
  • High integrity and accountability
  • Empathy for the unique needs and operating environments of higher education and public sector organizations

Why This Role?

You’ll be responsible for building relationships and closing deals with senior leaders across the public sector, with a strong emphasis on Higher Education. This is a great opportunity to deepen your impact in a sector where planning, performance, transparency, and alignment truly matter.

You’ll be supported by a close-knit, highly collaborative sales and marketing team that wants you to succeed. We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for driving results—but you won’t be doing it alone.

What we offer?

  • Generous commission plan
  • Extended health, dental and vision care
  • Vacation & paid time off

Why Envisio?

Envisio’s award-winning software aligns staff with departmental action plans and key performance measures, enabling customers to establish trust with their stakeholders. We get to see big plans and bigger dreams for improving the overall effectiveness and trustworthiness of public agencies. We’re very proud of that.

We’re passionate about building deep, personalized relationships with our customers to help them build safe and thriving communities. We’ve got great software, happy customers, and a passionate team. We’re leaders in our market and share a strong sense of purpose with our clients. We are a small-but-mighty group: we are a fun, high-performing team with offices in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia.

We’d love for you to join us!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
