The Role

Veeva is looking for a standout SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager to take full ownership of our external financial reporting function. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you will be the most senior dedicated leader driving the accuracy, quality, and reliability of our SEC filings. You’ll serve as Veeva’s in-house expert on US GAAP and SEC regulations, leading the end-to-end reporting process and ensuring our financial story is communicated clearly and confidently to investors, regulators, and the market. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment where your work is visible, valued, and relied on at the highest levels—including direct partnership with the CFO—this is an opportunity to own a critical function at a global public company.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end preparation, review, and filing of all SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related disclosures), ensuring complete accuracy and timely submission.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with Investor Relations, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors to support high-quality filings and consistent external messaging.
  • Monitor, research, and assess new accounting and SEC guidance, delivering clear technical memos and recommended positions.
  • Perform technical accounting analyses for complex and non-routine transactions, ensuring proper documentation, conclusions, and implementation.
  • Drive process improvements and automation to enhance reporting efficiency, data integrity, and disclosure quality.
  • Provide coaching, review, and guidance to SEC reporting staff and cross-functional contributors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of direct experience leading SEC filings and 5+ years total experience in SEC reporting (public company or public accounting).
  • Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) including XBRL tagging.
  • Strong expertise in US GAAP with proven experience researching issues and drafting technical accounting memos.
  • Thorough understanding of ASC 718 Stock-based compensation accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strict reporting deadlines, communicate clearly with senior leaders, and coordinate inputs across multiple functions.

Perks & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance
  • Flexible PTO and company paid holidays
  • Retirement programs
  • 1% charitable giving program

Compensation

  • Base pay: $120,000 - $185,000
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
