As the mastermind behind our search and discovery experience, you’ll transform how users navigate our digital spaces—whether they’re looking for inspiration or hunting for a specific product. Using Coveo and the latest in AI/ML, you’ll craft intuitive, engaging, and personalized journeys that not only delight users but also drive real business impact. Your work will turn search prompts into smart, powerful engines of discovery. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of search software systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and continuous improvement Act as the subject matter expert on search and discovery, with a deep focus on the Coveo search platform and industry best practices

  • Design and implement scalable search systems, driving performance and operational excellence

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with internal engineers and external vendors

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (eCommerce, DevOps, QA, Engineering, Data) to solve complex problems and enhance processes

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs

  • Ensure high search functionality performance, load optimization, and data integrity

  • Support the full development lifecycle, including technical documentation, deployment planning, and production support

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of search technologies and industry trends, especially Coveo SaaS

  • Provide comprehensive documentation (e.g., architecture diagrams, system overviews) and ensure smooth project hand-offs

  • Weigh factors such as cost, supportability, and flexibility to guide technical decisions aligned with product goals

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Quick learner of complex concepts and new technologies

  • Proven ability to synthesize stakeholder needs into scalable, enterprise-ready solutions

What you'll bring: 

  • 5+ Years of experience in web application development, with expertise in backend programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Java) and modern web frameworks

  • 2+ years of experience in search application implementations, Coveo, Algolia, Elasticsearch, or similar

  • Strong understanding of content management principles, including content modeling, workflow management, and multichannel publishing

  • Some understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines, such as WCAG 2.1

  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning principals; experience integrating and leveraging AI/ML services

  • Familiarity with databases and SQL, including database design and optimization

  • Experience in integrating CMS platforms with external systems using APIs and web services      

  • Understanding of web security principles and experience implementing security measures within CMS solutions

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at various levels

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

  • Experience with data warehouse methods and solutions such as Snowflake is helpful

$90.000 - $110,000

Above is the annualized pay range for this position. In addition, this position includes the opportunity to earn our annual Performance Based Variable Pay Program. Actual salary will be set based upon a range of factors, including external benchmark market data, individual knowledge, skills, experience, location and internal equity.
