CTERA Inc is seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team in Boston, MA. The SDR will play a crucial role in driving pipeline growth within the marketing team, supporting our overall sales efforts, and assisting in lead generation and prospect engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will communicate effectively to increase opportunities by scheduling meetings with potential customers and supporting the success of our sales team.
Requirements- 1+ year experience in Sales / Marketing role (internship included)
- Availability in the Boston office 3 days a week
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong sales orientation with a passion for building relationships and identifying deals
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with sales productivity tools such as Salesforce.com, Salesloft, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo is a plus
- Strong technical skills - Knowledge of the networking, IT/ storage/Security industry, as well as cloud-based solutions, is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Increasing sales opportunities for your territory team to execute on: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers and decision-makers within target industries. Use various prospecting methods, including email campaigns, cold calling, social media, and other innovative techniques (get creative) to generate qualified leads.
- Prospects Outreach: Engage with prospective customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to introduce them to CTERA’s products and services. Articulate the value proposition effectively, addressing customer pain points and providing appropriate solutions.
- Meeting Scheduling: Collaborate with the sales team to schedule product demos, presentations, and meetings with interested leads. Ensure that all relevant information is collected and shared with the sales team before the scheduled meetings.
- Relationship Building: Build and nurture positive relationships with potential customers, understanding their unique needs and challenges. Maintain regular follow-ups and keep accurate records of customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Sales Metrics Tracking: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead generation activities, lead progression – meetings held, and sales metrics. Provide regular reports to the marketing & sales team on progress and areas for improvement.
- Market Insights: Stay updated about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs. Share insights and feedback with the marketing and product teams to enhance our offerings and improve our sales strategies.
