This position is part of Research and Development team located in Waltham, MA and will be onsite. At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of a cross-functional R&D team focused on Gene Editing and report to the Director of R&D.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments focused on gene editing technologies, including CRISPR/Cas systems and other nucleases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new gene editing products and improve existing technologies.
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques to interpret experimental data, draw conclusions, and make strategic recommendations for further research and development.
• Work closely with scientists, engineers, and product managers to achieve project goals and timelines.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• PhD in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related discipline with 0 years of experience. Or MS degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related discipline with 1+ years of experience. Or BS degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related discipline with 3+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and protein expression.
• Familiarity with analytical methods such as HPLC, mass spectrometry, and ELISA. 
• Demonstrable experience with CRISPR/Cas systems and other gene editing technologies
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to analyze complex data sets. Experience with statistical software and data visualization tools is a plus.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Culturing primary cells such as T-cells, iPSC, HSC and organoids
• Non-viral delivery methods
