About Posh

We are all social creatures, but the dominant “social” companies today have evolved into digital loneliness machines, driving isolation, anxiety, and mental health challenges across our lives.

Human connection is lost. Posh is a beacon guiding us back.

Posh enables anyone to become an event organizer, build a community around their followers, and bring people together in person to cultivate real-world human connections. Founded by event enthusiasts and college dropouts, we’ve built the ultimate tools for creating, marketing, and monetizing in-person communities globally. In just three years, Posh has grown to a team of 60, expanded to 5M+ users, secured $40m in venture funding, and facilitated over $220M in transactions. We've achieved more than teams ten times our size in a tenth of the time—and there's so much more to come.

About The Role

As a Scaled Account Manager (AM) at POSH, you will be a key player in our Customer Success team, managing renewals and driving upsell opportunities across our thousands of emerging and growth-stage event organizers. Your primary focus will be ensuring that these organizers stay with Posh and grow their business through our platform. You will lead all renewal and upsell responsibilities across your book of business through data-informed, tech-touch outreach and proactive engagement.

This role will be based in our NYC SoHo office and require 5 days a week in office.

Key Responsibilities

1. Upsell Management:

  • Identify Opportunities: Work closely with Scaled Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to identify upsell opportunities within your assigned accounts.

  • Closing Deals: You will lead the upsell process, from initial identification through contract negotiation and closure.

2. Renewal Management:

  • Ownership of Renewals: Manage the entire renewal process for assigned accounts, ensuring that renewals are closed efficiently and at the highest possible rate (85-90% target).

  • Renewal Pipeline: Build and maintain a robust renewal pipeline, tracking renewal dates, contract terms, and key decision-makers.

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within your accounts to ensure long-term customer loyalty and satisfaction.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Scaled CSMs, AEs, and product teams to align on organizer needs and ensure a seamless experience.

  • Automate with Intent: Build high-impact lifecycle flows across email, in-app, and CRM systems using tools like Vitally, Zapier, and Iterable, triggering the right message at the right time.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need
  • 2+ years of experience in account management, sales, or a similar role within high-paced marketplaces and/or software environments.

  • Proven track record of managing renewals and driving upsell growth within a large customer base.

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals efficiently and effectively.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly sales, customer success, and product.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with customer success metrics.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and customer success platforms such as Salesforce, Vitally, and others.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
