Position Summary:

The Product Owner will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and optimization of the Salesforce platform to support the organization's strategic initiatives and goals. Operating skillfully in a highly collaborative, mission-driven nonprofit environment, the Salesforce Product Owner will be programmatically neutral and will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technology partners to enhance system functionality, drive innovation, and improve user experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product Roadmap:  develop, maintain, and evolve the Salesforce product roadmap in close collaboration with leadership, technology, functional leads, and end-users. Manage and prioritize the product backlog of enhancements, bugs, and standard maintenance to deliver key milestones identified on the roadmap. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional solutions. Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, team, and cross-team members. 

  • Releases and Enhancements Management: oversee system releases, enhancements, and upgrades, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption. Lead and coordinate all testing activities in partnership with business owners. 

  • End User Support / Change Management: serve as a Salesforce champion and promote user adoption within the organization. Ensure the creation and maintenance of training and communications for end-users and back-office staff. 

  • Data Analytics and Reporting: leverage data analytics and develop reports and dashboards to provide insights into key performance metrics, helping stakeholders make informed business decisions that support Foundation strategic goals. 

  • Continuous Improvement: drive adoption and continuous improvement through training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and user experience. 

  • Industry Trends: stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and compliance requirements to drive product evolution. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, technology, or related field required. 

  • Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in business analysis or system management. 

  • 1-3 years of experience with a single application in roles such as Product Owner, Project Manager, or Business Analyst. 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with implementation/change management of new technology solutions. 

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred. 

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in data analytics techniques, tools, and methodologies. 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong project and change management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. 

  • Familiarity with relevant laws of data security and privacy. 

  • Ability to work within the highest ethical and confidentiality standards.

  • Strong relationship management, partnership, and collaboration skills. 

  • Positive attitude, innovation, and goal-oriented mindset. 

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the Senior Director, Marketing. No direct reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature.

  • No heavy lifting required.

  • Minimal travel (e.g., 2x/yr) to conferences and meetings, as necessary.

The salary range is $122,500.00 to $153,000.00. Specific salary varies based on geographic location and is commensurate with experience.
