DIRECTV is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist to join our Marketing Technology team. This pivotal role will serve as both the technical steward and internal advocate for our Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) platform. You will collaborate with a diverse group of internal stakeholders including Marketing Strategy, IT, Billing, Collections, and Automation teams to maintain, optimize, and expand our marketing technology capabilities.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud across the enterprise.
  • Advocate internally for new features in Salesforce Marketing Cloud that will drive increased automation and/or provide value for DIRECTV.
  • Partner with other Marketing Technology and IT team members to troubleshoot defects and drive toward speedy resolution.
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting of SFMC instances.
  • Steer the design, build, and deploy or automate marketing journeys, email campaigns, SMS campaigns, and audience segments.
  • Partner with business units to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, automated marketing solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as IT, Marketing Strategy, Billing, and Collections to support integrated campaigns and customer lifecycle communications.
  • Advocate for best practices in data hygiene, audience segmentation, and marketing automation.
  • Maintain documentation of workflows, integrations, and operational procedures.
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and new feature enhancements, making recommendations for adoption when applicable.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, etc.).
  • Proven experience in maintaining and optimizing large-scale marketing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of marketing data and customer lifecycle management.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across marketing, technical, and operational teams.
  • Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, HTML/CSS, and data extension management.
  • Extensive knowledge with REST and SOAP APIs and SFMC integrations is a plus.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are preferred (e.g., Email Specialist, Consultant, Developer).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience in complex Marketing Technology Stacks preferred.

DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $96,140 - $174,570

Low (N1): $96,140 - $144,210

Mid (N2): $101,200 - $151,800

High (N3): $111,320 - $166,980

Top (N4): $116,380 - $174,570
