Vice President IoT Sales

Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing leadership to the organization’s sales group which is responsible for managing assigned regions and SaaS/IoT products. This includes creating strategy with the C-Level, growing existing business, identifying and developing new opportunities, developing sales forecasts, quotas and managing sales budgets._________________________________________________________________________________________
Requirements:
Identify and develop new strategic opportunities to provide sustainable growth for the region.
Develop and review market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, discount rates and develop or assist sales campaigns to accommodate sales goals.
Define and establish a more effective sales approach, methods, activities, benchmarks and expectations that will ensure building appropriate and accurate pipeline, close rate, and controlled sales cycle and basis for measuring performance of the sales team.
Handle complete and complex sales-cycles often presenting to C-level key decision making executives the value of the full platform features with a detailed consultative approach
Identify and develop potential customers and relationships that will generate incremental business
Develop and manage the annual budget for the sales group
Provide strong and credible leadership to the sales staff, setting a unified direction for the team and ensure priorities are clear at all times
Provide thought leadership to develop a high performing sales organization and customer centricity culture
Recruit, retain and mentor high-performance and highly engaged sales teamTrain, develop and motivate sales team in skills, sales methodologies and activities, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, and competitive knowledge
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 12-15+ years successful sales experience required or equivalent combination of experience and education
5+ years of previous management experience
5+ years of selling to distribution and direct marketing accounts
Excellent presentation and organization skills with a talent for customer interaction at all levels.
Must have strong interpersonal & communication skills
Positive attitude and proactive approach
Networking industry experience also required Understanding of data communications concepts
Knowledge of two-tiered sales model preferred
