Flock is founded by Bhavin Turakhia. Serial entrepreneur and billionaire, Bhavin Turakhia is driven by a passion for problem-solving and maximizing efficiency through technology driven innovations. In the last 22 years, he has built 5 successful businesses, all driven by his belief that “it is our moral obligation to make an impact that is proportionate to our potential”. At 17, he co-founded Resellerclub, Logicboxes and BigRock, which he exited in a $160mn transaction in 2014. He is presently heading Flock - a suite of productivity apps, Zeta - a digital payments platform, and Radix - a leading registry for top-level extensions.
Role Overview
This is an exciting early stage sales role (although we have over 30,000 businesses signed up and we’re growing fast, we only started our monetization journey less than a year ago!). You will help us build and lead our rapidly growing inside sales team within the calendar year.
To start with, in addition to carrying an individual quota, you will be helping to design the systems and processes required for you to scale the mid-market team. You will have lots of support with an Ops and Marketing team already in place; but at the same time you will have the space to make real mark on the shape of the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, hire, and build. You are a coach who’ll start by learning the systems and processes that have made us successful from our international team and replicating that in the US. Then help attract, interview, train, and mentor future superstars to build out our North America Inside Sales office in Boston.
- Motivate. Your team to call, call, call, and get better and faster at closing business professionals over the phone across the globe.
- Invent. We have product-market fit and initial traction but we need a sales leader who can sell the product we have, distill why customers are buying, and scale up the success we are having.
- Coach. You help your junior hunters become senior, and your senior hunters become even better at their craft.
- Collaborate. You have our marketing department to help with targeting and lead gen, and our support team for killer support.
- Perform. Exceed booking and revenue quota targets.
- Forecast. Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annual bookings numbers.
You:
- Love people. You’ve hired, managed, and grown SaaS salespeople who are professional, personable, and great closers.
- Are numbers-driven. You get that sales is a machine. You’ve got your favorite ways to measure results and Excel is your friend.
- Are a success. People have worked for you more than once and want to work for you again.
- Are technologically savvy. CRM and Sales force automation tools are child’s play to you.
- Are nice. You play well with others – and command credibility, too.
- Are a born deal maker. You understand that your job is to help get deals done that work for all parties.
- Have 3+ years of experience building and managing high-performing SaaS sales teams.
- Have 7+ years of experience being an SaaS sale professional yourself.
- Understand and have experience selling to C-level, VPs, IT, and Procurement.
