Business Development Representative
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Vestmark, you play a vital role in maximizing the attainment of the company’s new business and revenue goals. You will be a hunter at the forefront of the sales team, generating and qualifying all leads including inbound, marketing driven leads, as well as those you generate on your own through smart cold calling. As a BDR, you will sell solutions and educate future clients on the value of the VestmarkOne Wealth Management, SaaS platform. Your goal as a BDR is to generate qualified meetings for your field sales partners that will result in new clients and revenue for your territory.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively and efficiently with your field sales partners
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quota objectives for field sales meetings
- Participate in all sales meetings and sales conference calls
- Populate prospective clients’ account records within Salesforce.com to support opportunity pipeline management, by maintaining a clean, accurate and current record of all activities
- Build a personal territory plan by identifying top prospects and key contacts, and creating effective messaging for each account to generate interest via telephone
- Ensure cold calls are completed in a timely manner, continuously expanding knowledge of Vestmark products, messaging, and differentiation
- Immediately contact, qualify and nurture inbound leads generated by marketing activities and website visits
- Assist in building the funnel by participating in marketing programs as needed (may involve calling prospects to generate interest in events or dinners and attending shows and conferences)
Skills and Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in lead development focused on enterprise selling, preferably in the financial services software or services industry
- Demonstrated success cold calling and gaining access to senior people
- Excellent verbal communication skills; effective at engaging prospects, instilling confidence, gaining referrals and valuable information to move a sales cycle forward
- Strong written communication skills to enable professional, brand building, email follow-up as needed
- Outstanding time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Driven and eager to professionally develop and succeed
