THIS IS AN EVERGREEN RECRUITMENT POSTING.

We continuously build our sales talent pipeline because we're always looking to connect with exceptional salespeople who are interested in exploring opportunities with us.

About the Role:

You'll be the first voice green industry operators hear from us — and that matters. You'll own 100% of our outbound prospecting, qualifying leads for our Sales Executives and building genuine relationships with the businesses we can actually help.

Here's what that looks like day-to-day:

  • Cold calling and outbound activity in a high-volume SMB environment (we're unapologetic about the grind)
  • Qualifying leads specifically for landscape, tree care, and snow removal operators who are serious about growth
  • Working closely with our SDR Manager and Sales team to keep your strategy sharp and your pipeline full
  • Representing Granum at trade shows across Canada and the US (about once a quarter) — you'll be the human face behind our brand
  • Tracking your metrics and staying accountable to your KPIs because that's how you grow
  • You'll report directly to our SDR Manager, and you won't be flying solo. We invest in our team's development because your success is our success.

Does this sound like you?

  • You're genuinely great with people and see conversations as an opportunity (not a chore)
  • You can tell a clear, compelling story about why Granum matters to the people you're calling — and you're willing to keep refining it until it lands
  • You're a strong listener who knows when to talk and when to listen intently and learn what someone actually needs
  • You've got people skills that translate from hospitality, retail, or customer-facing work — you know how to make someone feel heard and valued
  • You've got sales experience under your belt (cold calling, door-to-door, or B2B)
  • You're not discouraged by rejection — you see it as part of the process
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and you're excited about making real impact in the green industry
  • Strong organization skills (clean pipeline, honest CRM)
  • Ability to travel to trade shows in Canada/US once a quarter
  • Looking to build a real career in sales and see this role as a great launchpad

Compensation:

  • Canada-based candidates: Base $55,000 CAD + $20,000 CAD on target commission (commissions are uncapped)
  • US-based candidates: Base $50,000 USD + $30,000 USD on target commission (commissions are uncapped)

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
