The Sales Specialist for Neogen Analytics reports directly to the Director of Food Safety Sales and is responsible for direct sales activities and revenue for Neogen Analytics. The Neogen Analytics Sales Specialist (NASS) will be a sales leader with a high sense of urgency who thrives in a high growth environment focused on solution selling. This position is a cross functional sales position requiring the ability to work with territory managers and major account managers to qualify opportunities and execute a sales strategy and plan that includes multiple Neogen sellers.  Many of the sales are complex multi account sales so the individual must be able to manage a complex deal structure, enfranchising key players at the corporate and plant level. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer to boost top-line revenue growth, new market share and growth in customer share of wallet.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on growing market share and revenue to establish Neogen as the Food Safety software market leader
  • Performing business justifications and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to discover, document and meet their needs
  • Exceeding annual sales goals
  • Present, promote, and sell products/services using persuasive arguments to prospective customers
  • Strong solution selling background with the ability to articulate customers need in a GAP analysis
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong business and customer relationships
  • Create and execute cross functional sales plans,
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Track sales and status reports using SalesForce

Education and/or Experience:  4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.  At least 2 years of documented successful sales experience and SaaS experience.  Food Science, Chemistry, and/or other related fields are preferred. PCQI, HACCP, or similar type certification will be beneficial for this role.
