In this role, you’ll partner closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to enhance our existing sales infrastructure, refine sales processes, and improve forecast accuracy and execution.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution and brings a systems-thinking mindset to drive data-informed decision-making, rep productivity, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Process Optimization

  • Refine and enforce sales process standards, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies across the funnel.
  • Drive adoption of best practices and ensure process compliance to improve win rates, velocity, and rep performance.

Sales Analytics and Forecasting

  • Build and maintain dashboards, forecasts, and KPI reporting to guide decision-making for Sales and Executive Leadership.
  • Monitor pipeline health, conversion rates, and attainment metrics to inform resource allocation and GTM strategy.

Territory and Capacity Planning

  • Support territory design, segmentation, and capacity planning efforts in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Ensure equitable distribution of opportunity and alignment with market potential and rep capacity.

Sales Tools and Data Governance

  • Manage and optimize the sales tech stack (e.g., Salesforce, Clari, Gong, Apollo).
  • Ensure data hygiene and system integrity through automation, rep training, and enforcement of CRM governance policies.

Deal Desk and Pricing Strategy

  • Advise sales teams on deal structuring, pricing models, and contract workflows to accelerate deal velocity and maximize revenue.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal to streamline quote-to-close processes.

Sales Enablement and Onboarding

  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to ensure new hires are effectively onboarded into our tools, processes, and playbooks.
  • Provide continuous training and support to increase tool adoption and process alignment across the team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic liaison between Sales and key stakeholders in Finance, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.
  • Drive alignment on targets, handoffs, lead management, and end-to-end GTM execution.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Business Operations in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Deep proficiency with Salesforce and sales analytics platforms (Gong, Apollo.io, etc.).
  • Proven ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights that influence GTM strategy.
  • Strong experience in pipeline management, territory planning, compensation tracking, and process governance.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience at all levels of an organization.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong project management skills with a bias for operational rigor and accountability.
Success in This Role Will Be Measured By
  • Increased forecast accuracy and sales team productivity
  • Improved rep ramp times and tool adoption
  • Streamlined workflows and improved process adherence
  • Clear visibility into pipeline health, performance metrics, and execution gaps

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
