Overview of the Role  

  • The Manager, Sales Operations - Costco position is an important part of the team, that leads the processes put in place to help oversee the health of key Costco accounts on behalf of our clients. In addition to driving the health of existing accounts, the person in this role also provides the Sales team with the necessary tools and insights to help our clients businesses grow. The role will have a high level of interaction with our clients and co-workers, responsible for advising on strategy and solving various problems that come across the desk.    
  • Location: Remote but must be local to San Diego, CA 
  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
  • Travel Requirements:  Less than 10% for team or client meetings

What You’ll do at C.A. Fortune  

  • Onboarding new clients and putting together pricing proposals for Sales to present to Costco buying  
  • Daily PO tracking and updating GenWeb portal.  
  • Reacting and resolving issues as they come up on daily basis with regards to logistics delays or order shortages and communicating to Costco in a timely manner  
  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with Costco and clients and be available and responsive to their real time needs  
  • Demonstrate problem solving abilities and come up with creative solutions for client and teammate issues that arise  
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Costco ICS, assistant buyers and buyers  
  • Providing all item/system maintenance, new item submissions and promotional support, etc.  
  • Assist teammates with promotions and/or paperwork on an ad hoc basis 

What You Should Bring to the Table 

  • 4+ years of post-secondary education (preferred completion of bachelor’s degree)  
  • 3+ years of CPG industry experience (Costco preferred)   
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint proficiency   
  • Data analytics experience (preferred but not required)   
  • Ability to work independently and meet goals that have been established  
  • Ability to be flexible in daily routine and tackle new tasks and/or projects as they arise     

You Will Stand Out if you Have 

  • Previous Costco buying or selling experience in food & beverage 
  • Experience working with a food broker that sells to Costco 
  • Trade spend planning and management experience
