Here at Hometap, we’re collaborative, passionate, and always ready to roll up our sleeves to create solutions that help people get more out of homeownership — and out of life. Our first product, a home equity investment, gives homeowners the opportunity to quickly access the equity they’ve built in their home to pay for what’s most important to them, from handling debt to finally making much-needed renovations, without taking on debt.
We work hard, and have some fun along the way, too. You don’t have to take our word for it: The Boston Globe and Forbes have recognized us as a great place to work, and we’ve been honored for our commitment to innovation in the fintech space by Inc., HousingWire, and more!
In case you need any more convincing, we also provide competitive compensation, healthcare coverage, unlimited PTO, a generous share package, and a strong culture with plenty of opportunities for team-building and camaraderie.
Who you are:
As a Sales Operations Analyst, you’ll use your passion for technology and analysis to assist with sales compensation and the administration of our sales technology stack, supporting the development and optimization of Hometap’s sales initiatives. Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, you’ll join the growing Sales Operations team which works closely with Sales, Originations, Marketing, Legal, Underwriting, Finance and Product. You’ll support the Homeowner journey, from lead generation to funded investments, with plenty of room to learn, innovate, automate, and experiment in between. You’re a great fit if you bring experience in a Sales Operations role, compensation and target setting, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a collaborative approach to your work.
What you'll do:
- Administer and maintain key sales tools (e.g., CaptivateIQ, Salesforce, Calendly, Dialpad), including user provisioning and spotting opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Dig into performance data to help shape sales targets and support compensation plan design, partnering across cross-functional teams and drawing from historical trends
- Help manage commission tools and monthly payouts across multiple teams, making sure everything is accurate and reconciled across systems
- Keep sales process documentation for workflows up-to-date and airtight
- Resolve all user questions and feedback in Sales Operations cases related to systems, processes, and procedures, ensuring clear conclusions and meeting SLA targets
- Efficiently work backwards to solve problems, tackle ad hoc requests, and address unexpected issues as they arise, including performing data analysis to support solutions
- Develop a thorough understanding of the team's routing processes, regularly monitor dashboards to troubleshoot and identify potential efficiency enhancements, and propose solution improvements
- Ensure that essential Sales and Operations dashboards are updated and rolled over monthly, while maintaining accessibility for all relevant stakeholders
In your first 90 days, you will:
- Conduct a monthly audit of Sales Operations Cases – identifying themes and automating at least three manual sales processes
- Provide a summary of monthly sales results across compensation plans with feedback for ways to improve
- Deliver at least two practical solutions to optimize our routing process
- Identify and propose two specific updates to enhance the onboarding/offboarding provisioning process
What you bring:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience within a sales operations or similar role
- Hands-on experience with compensation, plan development, and target settings
- Hands-on experience with implementing or administering Salesforce and other sales technology
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- A curious, hands-on, and hard-working mentality. Someone who is eager to roll-up their sleeves and tackle challenges head-on
- The ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish
- Intermediate to advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, advanced visualizations)
Bonus Points:
- Salesforce Administrator Certification
- Experience using CaptivateIQ or a similar compensation tool
- Experience working for a startup and/or consumer finance company
