Regional Sales Manager – Northeast US (MA, ME, VT, NH, RI, CT, NY)


Job Overview

We are looking for a sales leader with drive, passion, and a competitive spirit to help maximize Revvity's commercial success. This role will specialize in sales and support of revenue growth within our Discovery Reagents portfolio for Revvity's Field Sales team. The candidate should understand customer needs across basic science, drug discovery process and in therapeutic-area research. This Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing their team’s performance of revenue as well as building and maintaining strong customer/channel relationships directed toward growing Revvity's market share, revenue and profitability consistent with strategic business goals. This will be accomplished through the implementation and effective execution of coverage designs and plans, business and channel development, and effectively selecting, developing and deploying sales talent and performance in concert with the organization.

The Discovery Reagents Team

Revvity's Discovery Reagents team services the Pharmaceutical, Academic, Biotechnology, and CRO end markets.  Solutions include our Reagent Platforms such as Alpha Technology, HTRF, LANCE TR-FRET, DELFIA TRF as well as a wide array of microplates and Luminescence reagents. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Business Development
    • Manage and drive profitable business growth for your sales region. Develop a regional business plan that supports the overall business goals for the Reagents team within the Life Sciences organization. Develop market strategy involving multi-channel and key accounts. 
    • Conduct regular business and territory reviews with team members
    • Support team activities to provide existing and new customers awareness of product initiatives.
    • Participate in tradeshows/exhibitions/conferences.
    • Build long-term account strategies to grow business within the Discovery Reagents portfolios.
    • Coordinate with Product Management to identify, communicate, and incorporate new product enhancements.
    • Work with other sales teams and business functions to promote Revvity's solutions.
    • Develop business plan to support growth across a variety of digital platforms, and determination of future execution plan that will result in accelerated business growth

  • People Leadership
    • Establishes clear directions with team, distributes workload appropriately; monitors process, progress, and results appropriately.
    • Models, communicates and coaches others on Revvity core values, behaviors, and work practices.
    • Is an exceptional judge of talent and has a solid track record in identifying, selecting and developing people.
    • Collaborate and provide guidance for innovative ideas and activities related planning, execution, and drives accountability.
    • Facilitate cross selling and communication across the broader commercial team

  • Team Sales Revenue:
    • Grow and develop the business in accordance with strategic business goals by achieving team sales goals within the assigned territory.
    • Understanding customer needs and relating them to the appropriate Revvity product lines to present a comprehensive solution.
    • Ability to plan and maintain an accurate territory forecast.
    • Achieve and/or exceed Sales Targets year over year.

  • Willingness for up to 30% overnight travel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent with five years of experience in field sales. 
  • 2-5 years of prior sales experience or an equivalent alternative experience may include Field Applications, Project/Product management, Marketing, or other functions in the Life Science Market

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a laboratory setting performing basic science, drug discovery research, HTS, immunoassays, assay development, and a focus on microplate-based applications is preferred.
  • Should have strong communication skills, including writing emails (internal/external), effective communication in person and on the phone.
  • Capacity to effectively provide consultation.
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally and with a variety of business functions.
  • Passion to stay current with new technologies and applications in the life science market is essential. 
  • Overnight travel for conferences, required training and sales meetings (about 5% travel).

The pay range for this full-time position is a salary 110,000.00 - 142,000.00 Annual USD. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The pay offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
