As our Sales Insights & Reporting Manager, you'll bring structure to promotional tracking and clarity to performance analytics while modernizing how we work through AI and automation.

This role sits at the center of the consumer business, partnering across Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Demand Planning to turn data into decisions and reporting into a true competitive advantage. If you enjoy working with data, AI, and retail dynamics—and want your work to directly influence revenue and decision-making—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of weekly sales and promo performance reporting

  • Own and manage the promotional calendar across retail and e-commerce channels, ensuring alignment to revenue, margin, and profitability goals

  • Track promo details including dates, pricing, discounts, and funding

  • Analyze promo effectiveness (lift vs baseline, ROI, margin impact)

  • Analyze competitor promotional behavior and deliver data-driven recommendations to optimize our promotion strategy

  • Partner with Finance on promo forecasting, accruals, and actuals

  • Collaborate with sales to incorporate promos into forecasts

  • Drive reporting automation and efficiency by leveraging AI tools, including large language models and agentic workflows to reduce manual effort and accelerate insight delivery

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities tied to promotional activity

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience in sales analytics, promotions, or retail analytics

  • Strong Excel / BI skills (pivots, formulas, data modeling)

  • Experience working with weekly sales, POS, or promo data

  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Ops

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate insights clearly

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools (LLMs, workflow automation, or agent-based reporting pipelines)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, or DTC channels

  • Consumer electronics, consumer hardware, or CPG background

  • Familiarity with forecasting, margin, or inventory concepts

  • Experience using pricing or competitive intelligence tools

Why This Role

  • High visibility with leadership and commercial teams

  • Direct impact on revenue, margin, and promotional strategy

  • Opportunity to help shape how promotions are measured and optimized

  • A mandate to build and modernize, leveraging AI and automation to change reporting processes

  • Room to grow as the business and analytics capabilities scale

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
