Position Summary:
Sales Executives are professionals who help us build our Middle market business via the broker distribution channels for Medical, Group Insurance and Specialty products. Their goal is to understand and meet customer needs using Aetna’s and CVS’ combined products and services.

Fundamental components:

  • Oversees targeted business prospects to develop new opportunities and cross sell business to ensure profitable customers and help grow the business through consultative consulting, issue resolution, and superior service.
  • Manages and builds producer relations as needed depending on book of business or market segment(s) being supported.
  • Identifies opportunities to partner with the client by drawing from the entire spectrum of product lines, illustrating a keen understanding of clients' multifaceted needs and benefits utilizing Aetna's full product array (e.g., fully vs. self-insured, product combinations and/or product specializations by industry).
  • Develops, executes, and communicates company objectives that are aligned with prospect’s objectives, financial position, and employee benefits strategy.
  • Coordinates sales materials, testimonials, and support from SME’s to put together presentations for clients.
  • Delivers organized polished presentations of solutions with benefits tied to constituents’ needs.
  • Collaborates with underwriting to prepare competitive quotes for targeted prospects.
  • Creates open enrollment plan with producer and plan sponsor to maximize enrollment.
  • Monitors industry information and competitive environment of the marketplace to position Aetna’s strength accordingly.
  • Ensures product, pricing and services meet client's needs while meeting Aetna revenue growth and profit objectives.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to uncover profitable growth and cross-sell opportunities within new or existing customers and to support post-sale activities.
  • Coordinates sales materials, testimonials, and subject matter expert involvement in support of the successful delivery of constituent presentations. May participate in constituent meetings including finalist presentations, educational presentations, and capabilities presentations.
  • Manages/coordinates the integration of client’s and Aetna’s internal organizations and partners cross-functionally to complete sales, installation, and servicing.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of industry and sales experience depending on business segment being supported and the products and services being sold.
  • Must be able to commute within the market (New England market)
  • Health & Life Insurance license or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Proficiency with desktop software applications such as e-mail, Word, PowerPoint, TEAMs, Salesforce.
  • Persuasive Presentation Skills demonstrating value.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing
  • Plan Benefit experience
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Prior Health carrier experience
  • Brokerage experience
  • Underwriting experience

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$56,855.00 - $111,414.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
