Role Overview: Taara is seeking an experienced sales engineer with a strong background in telecommunications technologies and services to join our Americas sales team. This role bridges Taara’s technical solutions and customer needs, supporting sales initiatives with expert knowledge of telecom infrastructure, network design, and product integration. The candidate will work closely with account executives, engineers, and product teams to craft compelling solutions that meet customer requirements.

How you will make 10x impact:

  • Partner with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical guidance on Taara’s products and services.

  • Design and present technical solutions, including path planning and integration of Taara’s FSO solutions into customer networks.

  • Lead technical discussions, product demos, and solution walkthroughs for customers.

  • Prepare network diagrams, proposals, and detailed scope-of-work documents for customer review.

  • Act as the technical point of contact during the pre-sales process and support post-sale implementation when needed.

  • Collaborate with product management to relay customer feedback and help shape future roadmap offerings.

  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with detailed, accurate, and customer-specific responses.

  • Participate in industry events, customer site visits, and occasional domestic travel (up to 25%).

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions consulting, or network engineering within the telecommunications sector.

  • Knowledge of mobile wireless operator network architectures and services.

  • Familiarity with networking protocols (e.g., SNMP, BGP, OSPF), hardware (e.g., wireless devices, routers, switches), and service architectures.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Visio, or network diagramming software.

It’d be great if you also had these:

  • Experience working with telecom carriers, fiber operators or broadband ISPs in North and/or South America

  • Spanish language fluency


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-175,000 + commission + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
