(Part-Time / Contract)

Location: United States (preferably Midwest)
Type: Contract | 15–25 hrs/week
Rate: $35-$45 /hr

The Role

You’re a people person with a sales backbone and a service heart. You thrive in fast-moving environments, you don’t need to be micromanaged, and you know how to follow up, close, and keep relationships warm. You're comfortable in both high-energy expo floors and structured Zoom follow-ups.

ResponsibilitiesEvent Sales & Representation (40–50%)
  • Represent Back of House at food shows, trade shows, and trend events (travel required)
  • Generate new leads through in-person conversations with restaurant operators
  • Confidently communicate our services, value prop, and offerings
  • Coordinate closely with our Consultants to schedule consultations or demos on the spot
  • Be the friendly, informed face of Back of House across regions
Inside Sales & Follow-Up (50–60%)
  • Follow up with warm leads (from events, referrals, and inbound channels)
  • Sit in on or run discovery calls with potential customers
  • Track, manage, and progress leads through our funnel (Hubspot CRM familiarity preferred)
  • Convert non-GFS customers into paid consults
  • For GFS customers: help schedule consultations, coordinate with Consultants, and push the process forward
  • Work with vendors to ensure demos are completed and contracts are signed (where appropriate)
What Success Looks Like
  • You consistently convert leads into scheduled consultations or paid engagements
  • Event ROI increases through better lead capture and conversion
  • You track and follow up on open leads like clockwork
  • GFS field teams trust you to represent BOH well and make their lives easier
  • Vendors and partners view you as an organized, strategic connector
Requirements
  • Located in the U.S. (Midwest preferred for travel efficiency)
  • 3+ years experience in inside sales, field sales, or business development
  • Strong communicator, confident on the phone and in person
  • Experience in hospitality, restaurants, or foodservice a huge bonus
  • Must be willing to travel for events (~1–3/month, expenses covered)
  • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable using CRMs or follow-up systems
