We are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Director to build and lead our sales function from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape our sales strategy, define processes, and build a high-performing team. You will be responsible for creating and executing a robust sales plan to drive revenue growth for our established products and you will work with the leadership team to develop and execute a Go-To-Market strategy for a number of exciting new products, with a much wider addressable market.
You will build, manage and mentor a team of Sales Development Representatives and Account Executives. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives on both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
Candidates should be based in the United States with full working visa status. This position will operate within Eastern Time-zone working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Process Creation: Design and establish a repeatable sales process from lead generation and qualification to deal closing.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of SDRs and AEs, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Provide hands-on coaching and support to your team, conducting regular pipeline reviews and skill-building sessions.
- Sales Execution: Actively participate in the sales cycle, including engaging with key enterprise clients, negotiating deals, and closing business.
- KPI Management: Define and implement a comprehensive set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the sales team to track and measure sales performance, pipeline health, and team effectiveness, ensuring all metrics are directly aligned with the company's overarching revenue strategy and growth objectives.
- Performance Management: Monitor sales metrics and team performance, using data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies as needed.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and account management teams to align on goals, provide market feedback, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS enterprise sales, with at least 4 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of building and scaling a successful sales team from scratch.
- Deep understanding of the enterprise sales cycle and experience selling complex software solutions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
- Strong knowledge of software license compliance or broader IT governance/asset management market is a bonus.
