SALES DIRECTOR – JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking applicants for a Sales Director working in our North American Sales Organization supporting our Northeast, Mid-West & Canada Regions. This is an excellent opportunity to help drive revenue and market share for Cadence EDA, Design Services, HW and IP portfolios in the semiconductor industry.

Successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.  Candidate will develop and lead a team of Account Executives and Account Technical Executives with a focus on growing Cadence’s revenue footprint and market share across our product portfolio.  Candidate will manage a healthy sales pipeline focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and inspiring team of high performance sales and technical sales people.
  • Work with sales team to develop critical selling skills and localized winning strategies.
  • Account management and developing long-term strategic and executive business relationships.
  • Maintaining a robust sales pipeline and meeting/exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Driving revenue and market share for Cadence EDA, Services, HW and IP portfolio.
  • Setting Business Priorities and Coordinating resources across Cadence business units including Application Eng, Product Eng, R&D, Finance and Legal.
  • Managing complex contract negotiations along with the core sales organization.
  • Expect moderate travel.

Basic Qualifications

  • BSEE or equivalent field with 10+ years of successful sales and sales management experience.
  • Proven track record of success driving adoption of disruptive technologies within high-tech industry accounts.
  • Demonstrated track record of overachieving $30M+ annual quotas.
  • Knowledge of the Semiconductor Ecosystem and Chip/System Design Process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in EDA and or semiconductor sales.
  • Knowledge of Northeast, Mid-West & Canada Semi companies with strong executive level business relationships.
